Women in Sport Week- Break the Bias

Forerunners 2021 Seminar was held in the National Sports Campus in Dublin over a series of weekends with AAI’s Lily-Ann O’Hara at the helm bringing Ladies throughout Ireland who are involved in all aspects of athletics together. It is a fantastic way to collaborate with like minded ladies who are interested in evolving to assist in bringing out the best for their respective clubs in a positive way.

We had international gurus Janie Frampton and Julia Lee  delivering the final two days. Discussing Conflict Management, Instinctive Leadership and Building Resilience throughout the course of the two days.

LAC’s Gwynne Ryan attended the seminar and found it inspiring to say the least & would highly recommend it to all the Ladies involved in all aspects of athletics Country-wide.

Forerunners is Athletics Ireland’s pathway to supporting and encouraging our next generation of leading ladies in their athletic endeavours.

Forerunners is recognised by Sport Ireland as a key programme to address current gaps and future opportunities for women in sport, and as a result provide a pathway for women aspiring to become leaders in their clubs, regions and on a national level.
