National Even Age Juvenile Cross Country Champions, Irvinestown, Fermanagh
Sunday was another great day for the club at the even-age juvenile cross country championships held on a tough undulating cross in Castle Irvine, Irvinestown, Fermanagh.
First up where the u12 girls team of Gabriella O’Neill, Rachael Ruan, Zara Coman, Aoife Halley, Rose O’Neill and Crea Moore. The girls all ran great to finish in a very creditable 5th team. First home was Crea Moore who was also part of the bronze medal winning Munster provisional team.
Next up in the u12 boys was Jack Ryan who finished in an excellent 26th place.
Saving the best for last was Darragh Whelan who won the u14 boys by an unpreceded 39secs, or about 200m. Darragh was also part of the Gold Medal winning Munster team. Watch the finish of Darragh’s race at https://www.facebook.com/ share/v/1DiTgPL8Tp/
It was another fabulous day for the club and well done and thanks to all the athletes, coaches, parents and friends involved in the day.
