Massive congratulations to Darragh from everyone in the club on his superb victory in the u17 Celtic International Cross Country over the famous Parliament Hill course in Hampstead Heath.

Running against the best 16 year old athletes in the UK, Darragh gave a master class in cross country running on a wet muddy and hilly course. Run over 4 laps, the 6km race saw Darragh put the rest of the field to the sword on the hills to race to a comfortable victory.

Led home by Darragh, the Irish team won gold in the team event with Ruby Devereaux and David Frazer making up the scoring team.

Not to be out done, the Irish girls team also won their team event on the back of another Irish victory by Freya Renton.

The full races can be seen at British Athletics Cross Challenge London 2026 – Parliament Hill.
