The good weather turned up again for the u14-u19 Munster Championships with more success for club athletics across a whole range of events. There was a double double  for the club as Killian Coman  won the U15 200m and 800m and Darragh Whelan won the u16 800m and 1500m, both in new Championship Records.

There were also golds for Fionn Cunningham in the u18 400m, Faye Moore in the u17 3000m, Emily Murphy in the u19 400mH and the boys 4x400m relay team (Adam Smyth, Gary Buckley, Aidan Dillon, Fionn Cunningham and John Farrell). Cate O’Brien u15 800m, Gabriella O’Neill u14 100m and Fionn Cunningham u18 200m won silver medals, while Alanna O’Connell u15 100m, John Farrell u17 800m and Dáire O’Dwyer u17 300mH won bronze. For many of our athletes these were their first provincial medals so congratulations to all involved and to all the coaches and parents for their help and assistance over the year.

We also had a number of 4th places who also qualify through to the national championships – Aayla Comyns u14 200m, Donnchadh Burrows u15 Shot Putt and Crea Moore u14 1500m.
