The committee would like to thank all the coaches, athletes, parents, guardian and friends of Limerick AC who helped out at the Cook Medical Mini Marathon over the weekend.
We had over 100 different people help out , doing everything from giving out the t-shirts and numbers to awarding the medals at the finish line. The spirit from the volunteers was infectious and made for a fantastic atmosphere all around the course.
With over 3,400 competitors this year, it was the biggest entry since the event started in 1999.
Special thanks again to Cook Medical for their continued support of the race, EventMaster for all the organisation and the Limerick Sports Partnership VIP Programme participants for the help on Sunday.
First home in the 10km were Ibrahim Samon (Ennis Track) and Dymphna Ryan (Dundrum AC), followed by Niall Shanahan and Niall O’Callaghan in the men’s event and Rachel Hosey and Clodagh O’Dea in the women’s.
A huge well done to everyone who took part – we hope to see you all again next year during the club’s 150th year.
